Bar of the Week: Pralus Colombie

A 75% dark chocolate of single-origin Trinitario beans, Pralus' Colombie combines the nutty and coffee notes common to the region's chocolates with Pralus' typical heavy roast and creamy texture.  Seventypercent.com praises the bar's complex interplay of fruit and cream, calling it "definitely one of the must-tries of the Pralus line".  If you'd like to try Pralus' Colombie, be sure to stop by on Saturday, February 13th for a sample.

I just love the Pralus organic chocolates, I have just recently tasted this one and must admit, it's pretty darn good, but this one's not my favourite. I got it in a local store in Berlin at Winterfeldt Schokoladen, also available via www.Winterfeldt-Schokoladen.de, and was surprised! It's a pure taste, very pure but still fruity and smooth, not too bitter, well, not bitter at all and the packaging is stylish but doesn't try to be too hip and trendy. So I like it a lot and say "two thumbs up".
